About the Author

Katja Swift is an herbalist, teacher, and a co-founder of the CommonWealth Center for Holistic Herbalism. One of the few wife & husband teams in the herbal world, Katja and her husband Ryn Midura see clients and teach Foundational, Advanced, and Clinical herbalism programs both in-person and online, as well as a program for pharmacy students at Boston’s pharmacy schools. Together, they speak at national conferences, and write for publications like the Journal of the American Herbalists Guild. They are trained as street medics and Wilderness First Responders, and collaborate with peers from around the country to bring herbalism to communities impacted by natural and man-made disasters.
